Hi guys,
So this has been asked quite a lot in every Q&A over the summer so I felt I would put together a blog post on what I bring. I always forget that not everyone travels as frequently and things are always changing. Every time I do any travel Q&A, I always get a great reaction. This blog post is essentials for any one who travels, whether thats once a year, once a month, frequent flyers or cabin crew.
So let’s get cracking…..What do I bring?
Firstly let’s talk all things beauty 🙂 I keep all of these in one beauty bag in my case at all times (some in my handbag but mainly kept all together for each flight)
One thing that is always going in the sealed bag first…. is your foundation. Obviously if you have checked in luggage then this makes the whole process a lot easier. You can only have one clear bag so note that. ONLY LIQUIDS go in this, so other makeup like bronzer, mascara, blusher, powder does not need to go in here.
I leave out shower gel as generally the hotel you are going to visit will have that. I HATE hotel shampoo and conditioner so always bring my own.
Shampoo/Conditioner/HairsprayÂ
I use the OGX Travel Size shampoo and conditioner which I find amazing. So handy and can be bought in Boots.
For my hairspray, I generally just use a small size L’Oreal Elnett one which I also pick up in Boots. As cabin crew, I always need to wear my hair up so hairspray is an essential for me.
Hand Cream (as crew I cannot go on a flight without hand cream)
This obviously wouldn’t be for everyone travelling but for me I need it as I’m constantly washing my hands and moisturising is key. I’ve been using this one from This Works for ages now and I really like it.
Image Vital C Travel Kit
I constantly have these in my bag. When they start running low I re-buy the whole kit as it’s €26. You can buy it HERE (not affiliated) I can’t ever have enough. I use the Vital C range from Image at home so it’s great to have these all with my on trips. I just love everything from the cleanser to remove my makeup to the serum, the mask to the SPF. I actually have a bigger size SPF from Image which I bring with me.
Image Vital C Travel Kit is suitable for dry/dehydrated/sensitive/Rosacea skin and contains:
- Image Vital C Hydrating Facial Cleanser
- Image Vital C Hydrating Anti Aging Serum
- Image Vital C Hydrating Repair Creme
- Image Vital C Hydrating Enzyme Masque
- Image Prevention+ Daily Hydrating Moisturiser SPF30
These are perfect for travelling and holidays as they are so small and don’t take up loads space in your clear bag.
Image Skincare PREVENTION + Daily Hydrating Moisturiser SPF 30
P20 Face SPF 30
I have this in a 30ml and it’s perfect size for the face for travelling. I chop and change between this one and the P20 Face.
Garnier Moisture Bomb Tissue Face Mask
This mask is one of my ABSOLUTE essentials as crew and I have about 15 at home so I always have one handy for my trips. These are brilliant for rehydrating the skin after a few days in the sun.
Gilette Venus Snap Razor
This is a compact size razor that is the perfect for traveling. Don’t bother bringing your full size one, this is way handier. I generally just use the shower gel to shave my legs so once again saving space for other essentials.
Toothbrush & Toothpase Kit
If you are a frequent traveller then you want a cover for your toothbrush as it’s constantly going to be in that bag. This one is super compact from Amazon, Walgreens or any pharmacy.
Dove Deodorant/Hand Sanitiser/Tablets
Personally I love Dove deodorant. I’ve been using it for years now and they have small sized ones. I constantly have two or three hand sanitisers in my cabin bag at all times and lastly pain killers, antihistamines & Dioralyte I won’t leave the house without, just incase.
Coco Mademoiselle Perfume Handbag Size
These are AMAZING!!! One small travel size perfume. Granted it’s a little expensive but personally I cannot not bring perfume away with me. This is just perfect for travelling. Lots of brands now do small 30ml size bottles so shop around but if you fly a lot they are great.

Now onto other bits and pieces I make sure I always have in my bag when travelling.

I also have two decent travel adaptors for plugs. So I have one American one that is just for North America and another that is a general one for everywhere else but also has connections to charger your phone. This I HIGHLY recommend if you travel a lot.
TRTL Pillow
I pulled this out on a trip recently and the rest of the crew couldn’t believe how cool it was. It’s the best thing ever!!!! A neck pillow like no other I say. The other ones hurt my neck but not this one. I talked about it when I got it on my stories but it’s scientifically proven neck support that holds your head upright in an ergonomic position to sleep. It’s smaller than a regular neck pillow and it’s easy to pack in your hand luggage.

Travel kits are brilliant so never see them as a waste of money as you will DEFINITELY use them if you travel frequently or are cabin crew.
