This is a post that I love doing every month on TSO. As a beauty blogger I get sent so many fabulous beauty products to try every week. I wanted to compile this into one post for you guys so that you could read what I really thought of each product. I know so many beauty bloggers that just say how great everything is but let’s face it….not everything can be great. So let’s see what got a thumbs up and a thumbs down this month?
Paese Long Cover Fluid Foundation & Paese Rice Powder
The Paese Long Cover Foundation (€16.50) is a medium to full coverage foundation which has shea butter to moisturise and protect the skin along with pro-vitamin B5 that soothes irritation.Initially when I first tried this foundation I thought ‘WOW this is thick’. Now don’t get me wrong it is, it’s very thick and creamy but it glides onto the face quite easy. After the first application, I wasn’t 100% convinced at all. I purposely didn’t use powder to see what it’s holding power was like. It came off as expected but that is down to it’s moisturising agents in it, combined with my oily skin and no powder, it was a NO NO. So on it’s own it is perfectly fine for people with drier skin but if you are in any way oily like myself then you need a good powder to set it. Do not apply two layers of this as one layer is more than enough to achieve a nice even finish.
I then tried it out the next day using the Paese Rice Powder (€15.00) to set. THE DIFFERENCE! It really set the foundation and I didn’t look shiny at all. The rice powder absorbs any excess oil on the skin and is completely translucent. Watch you don’t apply too much as you can be left looking quite white and flat. I would recommend both together as the rice powder really does compliment it perfectly however I wouldn’t be a fan of the foundation just on it’s own.
Both products are now available in pharmacies nationwide or from Dolledup.ie HERE.
Botanics Purifying Face Scrub All Bright
I never spend a huge amount on facial exfoliators as I actually find that the cheaper ones are just as good 😉 I normally use the St. Ives Blemish Control Apricot Scrub which is amazing however I think this could very easily take it’s place. The Botanics Purifying Face Scrub All Bright is suitable for all skin types and as well as being a facial scrub, it will brighten your face too. It contains hibiscus which naturally brightens the skin and with it only costing €2.99, it’s a BARGAIN! Definitely this month’s bargain beauty!

Garnier SkinActive Micellar Oil-Infused Cleansing Water
One of my most used beauty products right now. This Micellar Oil-Infused Cleansing Water (€5.53 Boots ON OFFER) removes every last bit of makeup from your face including waterproof mascara and even 24hr staying lipstick. I was finding it hard to remove a certain type of lipstick and of course this removed it so easily for me. The micelles (cleansing agents) capture impurities like a magnet & lift away dirt from the skin, whilst the oils instantly dissolve all types of make-up. It is suitable for all skin types even dry and sensitive skin. One thing I felt after using the cleanser was my skin felt nourished and soft. This did not happen after using the other cleansing water from Garnier. This product has been featured on my Snapchat and is a product I would highly recommend.

bBold Lotion – DARK
This bBold Instant Tanning Lotion (€9.95) is a lightweight self tan. It is very moisturising on application and nearly feels more like a moisturiser than a tan. It gives you an instant glow and your skin feels super soft afterwards. It contains Aloe Vera, Vitamin E and Cocoa Butter which help tone, protect, moisturise and hydrate the skin. The tan was very easy to apply and I just used a mitt to get a even finish. It didn’t smell at all which I was really impressed by and dried it quite quickly too. Two days after application and the tan still looks perfect 😉

Margaret Dabbs London Pedicure @ Edvard and Pink, Dundrum
A pedicure fit for a Queen. LITERALLY! Celebrity foot expert Margaret Dabbs is the podiatrist for Queen Elizabeth and has her very own signature pedicure called the Margaret Dabbs London pedicure (€75.00). So if it’s good enough for the queen then surely, it’s good enough for me 😀 I popped into the stunning Edvard and Pink salon in Dundrum Town Centre to try it out for myself and WOW! I was impressed. I had never been to the salon before but it was just stunning. The pedicure chairs were really big and fabulous. The pedicure is initially done on a dry foot with the removal of dry skin then your toes being buffed/shaped etc. After all the work is done, you soak your feet before getting your feet scrubbed with Margaret Dabbs Exfoliating Scrub. This is a creamy textured mousse containing volcanic pumice and ground tea tree leaf which really leaves the feet feeling SUPER soft. Next was foot massage which I adored. Normally when you get a pedicure the massage is really quick and over before you know it but this lasted much longer. Lorna used the Intensive Hydrating Foot Lotion increases circulation and eases throbbing legs and feet.
My feet felt and looked great using Margaret Dabbs polish to finish off the pedicure. The products are really rich so anyone who doesn’t like thick rich products, this isn’t for you but I found them so luxurious. I would definitely go back & I would purchase the foot lotion myself as I spend so much of my day on my feet, this would work wonders. The Margaret Dabb product range is used by professional foot experts and luxury spas throughout Ireland including Edvard & Pink Dundrum Town Centre.
Flormar Deluxe Cashmere Stylo Lipsticks
Always a lover of Flormar products, when I see anything new from Flormar arrive in the door I get so excited. I know they are quality products and I can always guarantee my readers that they are worth their hard earned money. This month I tried out their beautiful new Deluxe Cashmere Stylo lipsticks which I absolutely loved. The colour pigment is so strong and they are just so moisturising too. There is shea butter and cacao butter in the lipsticks which gives hydration and protection to the lips. Definitely worth the money and can be purchased in pharmacies nationwide.
Until next month….
