Last week I went to Mudpie Beauty in Dundrum for some treatments in preparation for my engagement dinner last Sunday. I want to point out from the start, I was not paid to promote Mudpie Beauty for this post. I know I have had a lack of posts the past few weeks and I do apoligise, I was up the walls getting everything organised for the engagement dinner. It was such an amazing and beautiful evening with all my family and friends. I was thrilled that everyone had so much fun. I will be doing a post on that separately tonight for anyone that fancies reading 😉
I adore Mudpie Beauty not just because of the great service the ladies give but it’s actually so adorable. Everything is just so girly and perfect.
So back to the review. I had previously got an Image Signature Facial done in Mudpie and wanted to go with something different. The wonderful girls suggested I go for the O2 lift facial as it was the perfect facial for prepping for an event. I already use Image skincare which hands down beats any other skincare out there.
The O2 lift facial or “Red Carpet Facial” is a luxurious facial treatment which infuses oxygen, plant derived stem cells, peptides and high concentrations of enzymatic botanicals into the skin, which leaves it luminous, refreshed and rejuvenated. Among the many positive effects Oxygen has on the skin, is that it instantly brightens, speeds up healing and circulation by bringing nutrition to the skin, fights toxins and reduces stress, to name but a few – all-in-all making this a treatment which absolutely everyone would benefit from. Requiring no pre-treatment and no down time afterwards, this makes the o2 lift ideal for everyone , including brides and pregnant ladies!
The first step is using the Gel to Milk Cleanser which melts away any signs of make up or oils on the surface of the skin, leaving it ready to accept the deeper penetration of the next products.
The second step is an Enzymatic Facial Peel which has fruit enzymes which dissolve any dead skin cells. Massaging the product helps it to penetrate the skin and gently lift dead cells, which would promote collagen synthesis and deep hydration. After this step, my skin felt squeaky clean and the softest I’ve ever felt it.
The next step was the application of the Oxygenation Masque, which does exactly what it says on the tin! The mask went on as a gel and started to foam on my face. It delivers oxygen deep into the skin and bubbles away which was really tingling but left the skin hydrated and radiant. The masque also contains skin lightening ingredients to even skin tone.
They then applied Stem Cell enhancer to face, neck and décolleté. It is a booster serum designed to get high doses of stem cells, vitamin C and botanicals into the deeper layers of the skin, to rejuvenate, repair and protect the skin.
The final step of this treatment is the application of the new Image Skincare Prevention+ Tinted moisturiser which gives a lovely glow and has broad spectrum UVA and UVB protection. It has high levels of antioxidants and acts like an environmental shield for the skin.
AFTER THE FACIAL
Overall the treatment was super luxurious and exactly what I needed. After a hard week in work and preparing everything for the event, it was exactly what I needed. After the facial, I got my brows done and a luxury pedicure as I knew my shoes were going to be open toe. I was extremely happy with the facial in particular as my skin was literally glowing all last week. Here’s a photo of my skin when I got my makeup done for the event.
I already can’t wait to go back to the salon on Wednesday to start my course of the Shrinking Violet Body Wrap. As I’ve been loosing weight, my stomach area is a bit saggy (let’s be real we are all human) and I am quite conscious that I am going to be in a bikini/swimsuit in two weeks time in Malta so thought this would be perfect. I can’t wait to see the results.
I’ll be back tonight with details all on my engagement dinner 😀
