Happy Friday 🙂 I hope you all had a fabulous week. I’m back to work on Monday after 3 weeks off work. I had annual leave then took some parental leave too so it was so lovely. It’s so nice being with Lily everyday. Sean is off a lot this month so she will be at home with him which is great. She’s actually turning into the funniest little toddler, I laugh so much. She’s such great fun. I was laughing so much at all your replies to my burnt sausages on my stories today. So many of you like them cremated like that, I WAS SHOCKED! I’m not a fan. They tasted horrific. I’ve come to terms with the fact that after 30 years, I can’t cook sausages.
So back to the post, if you’re a new follower HELLO, this is basically a blog post I write every month on what I am loving, planning, thinking about, excited for, wishing for and more.
So let’s get started 😀
This Month I’m…..
Doing our house up. We’re still working away on the house slowly but surely getting there as you will have noticed from my stories. I actually love interiors so much. I love putting all the bits and pieces together to see the finished look. Our hall is finally done now, just need to find a landing light. Everything I want is too big for our size landing so the search continues. We only have a couple things left in the sitting room, the lights in the kitchen and then onto the back room. I’m dying to see about getting our garden done in May, definitely not now…it is freezing but it’s one thing I have NO CLUE about. If anyone knows of any good landscapers, DM me on Instagram as I love a good recommendation. That’s how we found our tiler and our carpenter. Two great men and delighted both local too. Lily has been helping us too 😉 If you watched my stories, you’ll see that Sean loves to call the house ‘Corr’s Castle’ so I wrote Welcome to Corr’s Castle on a letter board I bought recently.
Australia. I can’t get it out of my head. Seeing the devastation unfold online is breaking my heart. It’s heartbreaking watching so many wildlife dying and now they say 2/3 of the koala population is gone. So many people have lost their loved ones and homes too. I just can’t get it out of my head, some of the images are terrifying. I’m so glad it rained though but it needs to continue to rain now so fingers crossed.
Our Iceland trip. Thank you so much to all of you that sent me recommendations the other night, you’re so good. We have a rough list now so just need to book some things. Main recommendations were to rent a car and drive ourselves. We had planned to do this anyway as we love driving and exploring on our own. It’s actually how we saw all of Malta too. I think you can have a much better experience if you rent a car abroad. You just see so much more. I’m beyond excited for this trip. Blue Lagoon and Golden Circle were high on the list also of top recommendations. Apotek restaurant was recommended a lot too. Apparently amazing food. So thank you again to anyway that wrote in 😉 BEAUTIES.
Roses I got from Noblesse Flowerbox. I’m so impressed with them. I was sick of spending money on flowers. Total flower addict over here. They last a whole year and look/smell so beautiful. My dad was there the other night in my house when I got them & he said ‘what do you mean they last a year?’ He couldn’t believe it. He wants to get one now for his partner as she’s obsessed with roses. I got one for my hallway and one for my bedroom side locker. You can use AD152020 for 15% off at the checkout. Shop HERE.
Picking up my new car tomorrow. Eeeeeeek!!! As much as I am looking forward to it, I’m definitely going to be sad parting with Dympna. I have had 6 cars in total so far, Tina, Millie, Ozzy, Fred, Florence, Dympna and now Riccardo. I haven’t changed my car in 5 years so I do have quite a big attachment to Dympna. We’ve been together for so long and she’s the longest car I’ve ever had. I think letting go of her is like letting go of my old life like as just Aoibhe on her own and now that I’m a mammy it’s just not cutting it. Now I’m a Mammy, it’s a new chapter. So it will be a bitter sweet day. Don’t get me wrong though I’m looking forward to picking up Riccardo.
POWER IS BACK!!!! But I won’t lie I was VERY disappointed with the first one back. We still don’t know who killed St Patrick. Those that don’t watch it won’t get it but if you haven’t watched it, I urge you too. It’s an unbelievable series and I cannot wait to see how it all unfolds. Another good one is Banshee on Sky if another hasn’t watched it. What a series! Sean & I said we actually would love to watch it again, it’s that good. I’m dying to see how this all ends now with Power. This is the end sadly now.
My birthday month. Yes I said month as I just actually love the month of February in general. I’m off for two weeks also which is even better. Myself and the girls are going for afternoon tea in The Westbury which I’m looking forward too. I haven’t been there in about two years for Afternoon Tea and it’s my all time favourite. I’ve never once had bad service there or bad food, so good. I went for lunch a few weeks before Christmas and it was just gorgeous. Check out my blog post HERE
on 10 amazing afternoon teas around the world. Then myself and Sean are off to Iceland for a few nights at my birthday & Valentine’s and then home/repack and off out to Tenerife for a week with Lily. So February is going to be a good one for sure 🙂
The Belle Brush. I only tried it this week and WOW it’s so good. Lily got the Baby Belle and so good. The only way I can describe it is super soft. It’s not hard on your head at all, you nearly feel like you’re not even brushing your hair. I honestly only recommend something I love and I have to say this is blooming great. It’s an Irish company too which you know I love to support. If you fancy getting your hands on a brush or a baby belle for your little girl, SHOP HERE.
Looking forward to…..
The new Aer Lingus uniform being revealed this coming week. After 20 years, there will be a whole new look. I tried it on last year so I know exactly what it’s like. I can’t wait for the world to see it now too. The reveal is on Wednesday so those of you interested, stay tuned as you’ll get a first glimpse at what myself & all the girls/guys will be stepping out in very soon. I can’t say anything about it yet but I’m looking forward to hearing your thoughts on it.
