This is a post that I started doing two years ago and for some crazy reason I stopped doing it last May. So as I was planning out posts for the coming weeks ahead, this was on my list. As a beauty blogger I get sent lots of fabulous beauty products to try every month but I also buy quite a bit too. I wanted to compile my thoughts on some of them into one post for you guys so that you could read what I really thought of each product. I know so many beauty bloggers that just say how great everything is but let’s face it……….….not everything can be great and I’m here to tell you all. This post has some of the products I’ve been sent and I have bought over the past 6 months.
Let’s see what got a thumbs up and a thumbs down this month?
Seoulista Rosy Hands Instant Manicure
This hand mask is made with natural and organic ingredients, infused with Bulgarian rose complex to treat your hands and nails. The mask also has vitamin C and beeswax which protects & hydrates the skin. Personally I didn’t think was any different than putting on a good decent hand cream. I definitely preferred the foot mask below. If you feel like a treat anyway, there is a link below.
Seoulista Rosy Toes Instant Pedicure
This foot mark is infused with rose oil, aloe vera and beeswax and smells divine. I put it in the fridge first and it was so cooling on my feet. You can leave it on overnight or for 30mins as required. It was really nourishing on my feet and made them feel so soft too. Out of the toes and hand masks, I preferred this one definitely. If you work on your feet and spend a lot of time on your feet then this is the perfect treat for you.
Benefit KA Brow Gel
I only recently tried out this KA Brow Gel from Benefit. It’s actually really handy as it has a built-in hard-angled brush. The gel doesn’t dry hard at all, just gives the perfect finish. It’s a cream-gel consistency and is waterproof so won’t budge after it’s put on too. It also comes in a range of colours to suit all brow colours.
Personally I love this product and can’t actually fault it at all really.
Moxi Tan Aids
I used these Moxi Tan Aid’s for the first time back in January and those of you that follow me on Snapchat will have noticed I done a short review recently. The first thing I noticed was they were extremely rough, then I scrubbed the tan on my foot and to my surprise upon rubbing the tan, it came off fully. My tan had been on for a few days. I wouldn’t be using these on my whole body but I would 100% recommend them on a stubborn area like knees, ankle, hands, elbows etc. They make your skin a bit dry but I just put body lotion on afterwards.
Personally I highly recommend them for stubborn areas. They do feel like a rough j-cloth but really do work to remove your tan. Do not start using this on your legs or arms to get off dodgy tan, it’s more for specific areas.
Iconic Bronze DARK Tan Mousse
The new DARK version of the fabulous Iconic Bronze Tan. WOW!!! It’s dark….so if you like your dark olive glow, then this is the perfect product for you. You really only need one application of this too. So no need to reapply 😉 The tan itself develops in 2-6hrs however I just recommend to always just put it on before going to bed. I was really impressed with how quick it dried and it didn’t smell half as bad as some other tans on the market.
Personally I loved this tan and it’s colour, especially on holidays. As I’m pregnant, I haven’t been going out a huge amount so I’ve only worn in on my trip to Orlando which I was VERY dark. I also used it on my face using a foundation brush to apply
Dr Paw Paw It Does It All 7 In 1 Hair Treatment
A product I started using last year and continue to use into 2018. The Dr Paw Paw hair treatment is brilliant. You can use it on damp or dry hair and it adds a gorgeous shine to your hair when you dry it & also protects your hair from your heat tools. The product smells divine and is suitable for all hair types and can be used by women, men and children.
Personally I couldn’t recommend this enough It lasts ages as a little goes a long way and everyone can use it, which is even better. Not tested on animals either.
Nuxe Micellar Cleansing Water
Another recent buy that I have fallen in love with. The smell of the NUXE Micellar Cleansing Water is just beautiful. The product is designed for people with sensitive skin and removes makeup quickly/easily. The product actually soothes the skin as you remove your makeup and doesn’t leave your skin blotchy and red like some cleansers do.
Personally if you have sensitive skin then I would highly recommend this cleansing water even though it’s a bit more expensive than normal cleansers, it’s worth it. Don’t bother buying it if you aren’t sensitive as you can just use a cheaper cleanser 😉
Huda Beauty Dessert Dusk Palette
I actually got this as a gift at Christmas and decided to throw this into my reviews on here. As you can see it’s a WOW palette and the colours are unbelievable. It’s got 18 powder shadows – eight matte shades, six pressed pearls, three duo-chrome toppers and one pure glitter so it’s every MUA’s DREAM! I wanted it because it just looked so pretty but then when I got it, I was like OHH GOD how do I even use all these? I’ve played around and used maybe 7-8 of the colours so far. I wouldn’t be a massive fan of the purples on my eyes so I’ll be steering clear of them however the majority of the palette is every me. The tones look incredible on the eyes and the pigment is so good.
Personally if you are an MUA you need this in your life now, if you are a joe soap like me then you can live without however it’s nice to get as a gift 😉 The shades are fabulous though and it will last me a long long time.
The Wet Brush Shine Brush
How did I ever live without this? Seriously even if you don’t have extensions, you need this in your life. It’s suitable on any hair types and has two forms of bristles. When I curl my extensions, I use this brush to brush them out and it leaves them sitting perfectly for me. This brush also detangles your hair very easily. I could see a lot of mums liking this brush for their little children’s hair.
Personally I think everyone needs this brush in their life.
Co Lab Dry Shampoo – FRESH
Well it’s certainly what the bottle says….FRESH! The smell immediately got me. One thing I really liked about it was that it didn’t leave my hair white or grey at all. Some dry shampoo’s can do that to your hair and it’s not good. It’s a little more expensive than your regular dry shampoo but the bottle is bigger.
Personally I’ve loved trying this out and would re-buy myself. I know you can get this in Penneys now too.
Human + Kind Miracle Make-up Remover
Similar to the Cleanse Off Mitt, this new product from Human + Kind I used twice this week to test out for you all. It’s a micro fiber cloth that you wet with lukewarm water to remove your makeup. You do not need any other product on the cloth to take it off. It removes all mascara and heavy makeup in just a few washes.
The cloth itself is machine washable and says it lasts up to 1000 uses.
Personally I think this is perfect for bringing on holidays or for someone who’s always travelling for work. Yes it takes your makeup and mascara off I can’t deny that, however I personally wasn’t a massive fan of using just water. I like using a cleanser as I just feel really clean. My mum used it too and she really liked it so I just think it depends on the person’s preference.
I have been going to Mudpie Beauty in
The Glow – Pre Natal Treatment
Our signature pregnancy treatment. Enjoy a neck and shoulder massage with sweet mandarin oil followed by a mini facial to cleanse, tone and moisturise the skin. The lower legs and feet are treated to an exfoliation to improve circulation and reduce any swelling, heaviness and other discomforts often associated with pregnancy. Whilst the legs are wrapped in a cocoon of luxurious oils , a relaxing scalp massage is performed to melt you away in the moment. The gentle scent of neroli oil used throughout the treatment invokes feelings of joy, uplifting the mood whilst making you feel relaxed. (Only recommended after 13 weeks of pregnancy). The treatment is 60minutes long and costs a total of €85.
Personally I would highly recommend it to anyone that is expecting or you want to buy a gift for a friend who is.
