Firstly before I start this blog post I want to say that these views below are mine and not that of my employer. I have had a few of highly requested cabin crew blog posts mentioned to me on a number of occasions. So as promised I plan to do a lot more on this topic. I have quite a lot of crew from all around the world following me from Etihad to Emirates, BA to Virgin, Ryanair to my own company. A lot of you ask the same questions so I felt it would be great for me to do posts based on them
My first post is about my travel beauty essentials. Not only will this help fellow crew members but also anyone that either travels a lot or just enjoys travelling. I feel that us girls always struggle when it comes to narrowing down our beauty products when going away. You do really need to think about ‘what I REALLY need’ and ‘what I can LIVE WITHOUT’. You obviously cannot take everything so let’s get to it.
One thing that is always going in the sealed bag is your foundation so put that in first. Obviously if you have checked in luggage then this makes the whole process a lot easier.
Now for the other essentials…….This is what I take personally so obviously yours may be different. I leave out shower gel as generally the hotel you are going to visit will have that. I HATE hotel shampoo and conditioner so always bring my own.
This is my FAVOURITE travel pack for hair. It has shampoo, conditioner and hairspray all in one by John Frieda . You can buy this in Boots.
Hand Cream (as crew I cannot go on a flight without hand cream)
This smells absolutely gorgeous. I got this and the below lip moisturising stick as a gift in January & I’ve been addicted ever since.
Nuxe Lip Moisturising Stick
Garnier Moisture Bomb Tissue Face Mask
This mask is one of my ABSOLUTE essentials as crew and I have about 15 at home, at any given time for trips.
GlamGlow Thirstymud Hydrating Treatment
Depending on how long the flight is or how long I have as a layover, I like to use this especially if it’s long haul. It’s like putting a gallon of water into your skin and your skin feels so hydrated after.
Gilette Venus Snap Razor
This is a compact size razor that is the perfect for traveling. Don’t bother bringing your full size one, this is way handier. I generally just use the shower gel to shave my legs.
Colgate Toothbrush & Toothpaste Kit
Super compact and has a cover too which I like especially if you are a frequent flyer.
I ALWAYS have a pack in my bag. You just never ever know when you need one and especially when flying too.
Personally I love Dove deodorant. I’ve been using it for years now.
Carex Hand Sanitiser
There is always one or two of these in my cabin bag. As crew, keeping your hands sanitised at all times is key. One of these also lives in my tabard (apron) too.
Coco Mademoiselle Perfume Handbag Size
These are AMAZING!!! One small travel size perfume. Granted it’s a little expensive but personally I cannot not bring perfume away with me. This is just perfect for travelling.
Image Vital C Travel Kit which contains your moisturiser, cleanser, serum, masque and SPF. It’s absolutely brilliant. You can buy them HERE.
This kit contains a
- Image Vital C Hydrating Facial Cleanser
- Image Vital C Hydrating Anti Aging Serum
- Image Vital C Hydrating Repair Creme
- Image Vital C Hydrating Enzyme Masque
- Image Prevention+ Daily Hydrating Moisturiser SPF30
Nuxe Beauty Collection Travel Kit
After trying the Nuxe hand cream and lip moisturising stick, I wanted to try more. So I bought this one recently to try out some more of the products. I also find it’s a great way to see if you even like the products before spending a fortune on a full size. I fell in love with the Cleansing Water in this pack. I use the body oil already so this is a MUST have especially in the sun.
So there you have it. I haven’t included my makeup bits as they are separate. This post was more showing you some of the essentials I bring on my trips away. I don’t take all the products from each of the travel kits, I pick and choose depending on where I am going etc. Travel kits are brilliant so never see them as a waste of money as you will DEFINITELY use them if you travel frequently or are cabin crew.
