As this year comes to a close I always reflect on the year that pasted and think about what I achieved, what I didn’t achieve and what I could have pushed myself to do more of. There are always a few things that creep up every year like I wish I became more fit or lost more weight or made more time for ‘me. I tend to rethink these things year on year like a lot of people probably do. I know there is also the few that GET IT DONE and for that I commend you.
Every year I write down a list of things that I plan to do in that year and want to achieve. Some are quite small, others quite big. I believe in setting goals to strive towards and to have a focus on each year. You can go through life from one year to the next and I suppose for some people that’s fine if that is what you want. For me it’s different, I think we are given one life & one life only and we should LIVE IT! A friend’s mum once said to me how much she loved my ambition to make the most of everything in life and that I am always on the go. It’s TRUE! I am always planning my next adventure or trying out something new. I don’t think there is anything wrong with striving for more, ALWAYS. I don’t want an ordinary life nor do I plan to live one. I want to live my life to the fullest and make the most of every opportunity that comes my way.
So what am I looking at for 2018?
Here it goes…..
Ticking off a couple I didn’t get done from last year will be first on my list

So there you have it. These are things that I’ve set out to do for 2018. Some of them are small things and others are quite big but I strive to achieve what I set out every year. You can check out my goals list for 2017 HERE and I ticked the majority of them off. The sense of achievement is amazing. I don’t dwell on the goals I didn’t hit, I just add them in for the following year. The big one for me is FINALLY moving out for good and setting off on my own. I’ve moved out before but always for a year or two and ended up back whereas this is the real deal now.
I’m so excited for next year. I always think of it like a new chapter and it’s yours to write. You can be that person that lives week to week or month to month, or you can sit down and write a goals list for yourself too. I think it motivates you so much, well for me it certainly does.
I’ve another blog post coming next week which is a review of 2017. It’s an honest blog post which I know you guys love them. Although I ticked off my goals, everything didn’t line up as I thought at the beginning of the year. I took a different path which led me to where I am today. This decision was hands down the best decision I’ve ever made. It was a big risk to take but I ended up being happier than ever. So if you are scared about making a decision next year, don’t think about what could go wrong, think about everything that could go right. You never know what lies ahead.
So what are you waiting for? Get writing….and set them goals.
