BARE FACED

It’s all about ‘bare skin’. You either apply a low coverage foundation or you can apply a serum or MAC Strobe Cream right before applying your foundation. You can purchase Sized to Go MAC Strobe Cream in MAC Brown Thomas or in BT2 Dundrum. It’s a great size just to try and see if it’s the product for you. This gives your skin that perfect even glowing skin even in Winter. If you want to keep your usual foundation, then applying subtle highlights to the high planes of your cheekbones & temples with an illuminator or lighting powder can create the perfect ‘nothing’ look either. To create this look you can use your the limited edition powder palette Ambient Powder Wardrobe from Hourglass.

SOFTEN THE EYE

Simplicity is key. Eyes are not the main focus so keeping them minimal is the way to go. Pastel eyes using shades of pale pink and blue work best this season on the eyes. Stick to one single shade and use this on the entire eye lid. A shade like Stila’s eyeshadow in ‘Tone’ or are perfect to create this look.

SUEDE NAILS

The quickest way to give your nails a haul this Autumn Winter is by giving them an update with a matte finish natural nail shade. There is a new school of neutral shades including Estee Lauder’s Pure Colour in Negligee. This is the perfect shade for your nails this coming season.

VIBRANT LIPS

Set to be the biggest makeup trend of the year, the vibrant lip is a must. A vibrant red or bold orange lip can be as matte or glossy as you like. It really works both ways. I think matte is best when it comes to bold shades. Face of Australia Lip Paint in is highly pigmented paint that gives your lips a super glossy and intense colour finish on the lips.  Also Maxfactor’s Colour Elixir Giant Pen in Designer Blossom is another beautiful shade that will give you that perfect vibrant shade.

FLUSH CHEEKS

The flush cheek is really an all year round look however this AW it is about mimicing the natural look with a cream blush. A cream blush can be a little tricker to use so I suggest using your fingers to blend it into the skin. Bobbi Brown’s Pot Rouge a best selling cream product that works on both lips/cheeks.
