Autumn has arrived and although we are still hanging on to the last of the summer autumn is the season for transitioning. It can sometimes be difficult to decide what to wear at this time of year as we are moving away from bright colours and florals and back towards winter colours. A leather jacket is the perfect transitional piece for this time of year, it will keep you warm but without going full Eskimo too early.

There are so many ways to wear a leather jacket – toughen up a pretty dress with a leather jacket over it, go for a more casual look with jeans or for a very polished office look with trousers or a pencil skirt. Whatever way you choose to wear it there is a leather jacket out there to suit you.

I personally love the traditional biker look with lots of zips and even some panel or rib detail. I love this Warehouse jacket below for only €92.86, leather jackets under €100 are hard to come by. You can buy it here!

No where does leather jackets like All Saints so on a splurge I would get this jacket in the image below which will set you back €420. You can get it here!

For a more chic dressy look opt for a collarless leather jacket or one with frills or a peplum hem. This one below is €139 from Zara. This would look great over a white blouse tucked into black trousers or with a pencil skirt.

Another really wearable look for autumn is a waterfall leather jacket which again can be dressed up or down.

This one below is from Zara and is €159. You can buy it here!

Another leather jacket look that I love is the leather jackets with a fur collar. They look amazing on and again they can really dress up a casual look. Some of them are removable too so you can get two looks in one jacket to take you through the seasons.

This one is from ASOS and the collar is removable so it can be worn with or without. It is €142.18 and can be bought here.

If black isn’t your thing there are lots of different coloured leather jackets available. Tan is a very versatile colour which will work all year around. Burgandy is another transitional colour that can carry you right around the year too.

Happy shopping!
