Last week, I went to meet the FABULOUS Grace Flood, creator of Cherry on Top.
So how did you start Cherry on Top then?
I completed a nail course 8 years ago and decided I was going to focus solely on gel. After a trip to London and a friend getting her nails done I was amazed at the intricate work that went into doing them and the designs. This is something I had not seen in Dublin before. It was then, I knew I wanted to focus more on Nail Art, being an artistic person myself.

What would you say is the latest nail trend?

At the moment, I am doing a bit of everything. I get to know the clients and tailor them to each individuals style and personality. Right now clients are loving having different nail art/pictures on each nail.
Where do you get your inspiration from?
I get it from everything! The simplest things like fabrics and textures inspire me. I love fashion and my style icons would be Lana del Ray, Rihanna and Nicki Minaj. I get some ideas from things like Pinterest (which I am addicted too also) music videos, magazines and everyday kinda things.
What do you enjoy most about your business?
I have a broad client list from all walks of life. I love tailoring and creating an individual look for each person. Nail art is amazing, it’s a little piece of your personality that can be removed unlike a tattoo. You can change them depending on moods or trends and that’s what I love. Nail art is huge at the moment and it’s fun to create different looks.

Grace has many clients and is a mobile nail technition, based in Kildare but travels around Dublin. She puts a huge amount of work into her business and often works 7 days a week. An amazing talent!
